Hi,

I have to generate a graph for daily , weekly, monthly for dates between the user selectable Start Date and End Date.

I have only a Date field, its format is (YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS). Based on this field i have to generate the graph.

For Daily i have completed the graph,
but i am stuck in weekly.

How do i get the week id and the week name from the Date field ?

Is there any way to solve this problem

Regards
Navaneeth

Here are some funtions that may help you. Do a search on them in help to get exact syntax.
The following is a partial list of subroutines that operate on date-time fields:

HADD adds components (year/month/day/month/year) to a date-time variable. HCNVRT converts a date-time to an alphanumeric value
HTIME converts only the time portion, HDATE converts only the date portion.
HDIFF subtracts two date-time fields and returns # of years, months or days.
HNAME returns the date component(day/month/year/week/hour/min/millisecond...) in alphanumeric format.
HPART returns the date component(day/month/year/week/hour/min/millisecond...) in numeric format.

Navaneeth,

Are you sure that you've tried HPART? That should give you the week number with the correct parameters. What you are expecting to get for "week name" is anybody’s guess!

HPART(your-date-value, 'WEEK', 'I2')
