I have a requirement to change an icon in the infoassist dimension tree.

Instead of a little yellow, blue, or green 16 box.png, I need to conditionally change that to a different icon.

As an example, if the description contains as a certain string, I need to make a checkbox icon, instead of a yellow, blue, or green box.

I've asked techsupport, and they say not supported. In my review, I have found it's easy to change the icon. The part I am stuck on is how to conditionally change it.

If you have done this, can you PM me or share how.

If you just want to change the icon, find the fieldIcons.xml file and change the icon filename, and put your icon in the correct folder.

My only word of warning is that you know how to do it for the release you are on but there is no guarantee as future releases come out it won't change and you will have to figure it out all over again. A maintenance nightmare...

Thank you for using Focal Point!
