Hello All,

I am currently working on a RC job which is supposed to run every first working day of the month. In case if the first day of the month falls on Saturday/sunday then I need to kill this job.

Any advise would be helpful!

Not so fancy but it works and is easily adjustable, just create a custom occurance for the next x years.


Test: WF 8.2
Prod: WF 8.2
DB: Progress, REST, IBM UniVerse/UniData, SQLServer, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Greenplum, Athena.

Why not using "First Monday" ?

Set for date when you want it to run then by choosing the proper setup it will run on first working day of each month.

Hello Martin,

The "First Monday" will not work since if the first working day falls on Thursday then the user would get the data very late.
I was trying the option &&KILL_RPC but for some reason it is not working. Have you tried this before.

Ok, so your request is not the first working day of the month but the first day of the month which is not a week-end (Sat or Sun).
Not the same request...
One thing that you can do using a Daily schedule, is to add a test at the beginning of your fex to check which day it is :

If 1st of the month and not a Sat-Sun, then continue to report
Else if 2nd of the month and a Monday, then continue to report
Else if 3nd of the month and a Monday, then continue to report
Otherwise bypass report and go to end

This doesn't take in consideration Holidays.

If you have issue with KILL_RPC, you may have to contact IB Support because the reasons may be multiple.

So, please stop opening multiple treads for the "same related" issue because you may get the same answer in several location and it's make the upgoing searches harder.
