Can someone explain to me why...In Developers Studio...In Self-Service You can secure someone from updating code and they can still have read access...But in MRE..to have read access you will also have updating ability. I just do not understand this.

I agree.
Had user who wanted to examine the filtering logic and computations inside reports he was allowed to run under MRE. I could not let him see the code for himself without also giving him the ability to update it too! I ended up having to copy the *.fex code for reports of interest into an e-mail.
This IBI 'feature' required me give second class 'customer service'.

Data is Oracle, MS-SQL.
