I am trying to achieve a report of the following compound structure but using a excel macro enabled template for us to make some styling changes. I know compound report commands wont work while using templates.

Report 1 OPEN NOBREAK

Report2 NOBREAK

Report3 NOBREAK

Report4 CLOSE

All the examples I saw in the forum so far only demonstrate multi tab reports using a template like using SHEETNUMBER1 and SHEETNUMBER2 but no examples with multiple reports in a single worksheet. I want to achieve this structure using a template.

sheet1
--------
report1
report2
report3
report4

Is there any way to achieve the above structure using a template ? Any help is much appreciated.

Sure. Since you are using a macro, build the 4 reports on separate sheets. Then in your macro copy the cells from sheet 2 to where you want them in sheet 1. Do the same for sheets 3 & 4, then delete sheets 2, 3 and 4. Then apply your additional formatting.
