I would like EXL2K Formula to be an option in my report. Dev Studio (working in 5.2.5) doesn't seem to recognize EXL2K FORMULA when USER is selcted for display options.

I coded it in Text Editor and when selected it opens EXCEL but the formulas are not present.

ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT '&WFFMT.(HTML,PDF,EXL2K, EXL2K FORMULA).Select type of display output.'

If I remove the USER option and select only EXL2K FORMULA IT WORKS......

ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT '&WFFMT.(EXL2K FORMULA).Select type of display output.'<br />
Is there a way to enter EXL2K FORMULA ...????

My guess is the item in the list has to have
quotes.eg 'EXCL2K FORMULA' .

no C in the format. its not EXCL2K
and you need to take the ' marks completely out of your line of code.
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT &WFFMT.(EXL2K FORMULA).Select type of display output.
If you do that, it'll work.
It works like a charm for me exactly as typed above.

susannah,

Thanks ..... it was the tick marks keeping my code from working. Which seems really strange because Dev Studio put them there and all the other options worked...... I removed the ticks and just has you said "Works like a charm".

Thanks so much......

No I didn't report this one..... I drive them crazy with enough other problems I didn't think they'd want to hear from me on this one...... and I'm never quite sure if it's not my inexperience with Dev Studio that causes me problems.

But thanks for your insight.....

You never drive us crazy. I will forward this thread to Tech Support so that they are aware of this issue.

Cheers,
