Hi

I need to implement row / column level security at the level of groups in a domain. This should help me in a way that if I define a certain filter for a group, all the users who are added to that group can see the data only against that filter. Also, there should be a way to restrcit access to certain columns of a master file for a group.

Is there a document or steps to implement row / column level security in WebFocus?

Thanks and Regards
Ruchir

Ruchir Goyal,

You can do a search for terms like 'DBA' or 'Data Source Security'.

We don't use the DBA method so I can't tell you if you can apply the filters on a group-level or if it needs to be done at the user-level.

We use Group-Level Profiles (search for 'WebFOCUS Profiles') and we declare filters in the profile (search for 'Declare a Filter').

This ought to get you started...

Cheers,

Dan
