Dashboard Group View – Selective Group Access

Having researched several manuals we still do not have an answer here:

Is there some way to limit user access to tabs on a dashboard group view based upon membership in a particular group? It would be optimal to have only a limited number of tabs appearing based on a user's privileges. Selective group access would eliminate the need to maintain multiple versions of a single group view.

For example, it would be optimal to have one group view with several report tabs.

a) Some users, notably executives and WebFocus developers, will see all tabs

b) Most users will see a limited number of tabs based on their groups

We are currently at 7.1.6 and upgrading to 7.1.7 within a month. Is selective group view access a 7.6 option or should we submit a New Product Request?

TIA Focus Nation!

Isn't that why we have Group views - the Executives are in one Group, the Developers are in another Group, underlings are in another Group.

I think this is the only way to have different users see different views.

Sandy :
As I understand it, access to the entire G-V is as granular as it can get. Partial access within a G-V is not yet possible.

You will have to build mutiple Groups for mutiple User-types.

Sandeep Mamidenna.
