We recently had an externally facing WebFOCUS Client platform (serves an MRE site to the Internet) go into Active Directory control, and reports saved in !ibi.fil hold files stopped appearing on pages served to the Internet. The same focexecs deliver pdf versions with no problem. Here are the salient facts:

1. Focexec is in MRE. It creates hold files in htmtable format
2. Same Focexec has an HTMLFORM BEGIN block at the end of it that wraps the resulting table in html and presents it to the end-user.
3. WF Server is inside the firewall, 7.7.03M
4. WF Client is outside the firewall, 7.6.11
5. Problem seems to have appeared when Active Directory was applied to the Client.

With concurrency in the picture I'm not much interested in moving the location of the hold file. I'll need to manage hold file names, expirations, external access via less-gentlemanly means, etc.

Has anyone walked down this road recently?

J.

Mixing version of Clients and Servers are not supported.

Nor is the mixing of beer and whiskey, yet it just seems to keep happening to me. Seriously, it's a miracle I function at all.

This issue just cleared yesterday. The issue was the configuration of the Apache server. Once that got straightened out everything went back to working as normal.
