Hi,

Do we have any option to store files (PDF/Excel) in shared drive. which is outside of WebFOCUS disk?

Right now am storing in WebFOCUS data servers. due to huge data. it occupies more space. we have to maintain the all the files for Audit....

Please let me know the way to achieve it!

Thanks,
Dev

Hey Dev

There's are a lot of way of doing it, but Babak's got a good plan there. For some reason, the manual that he found for APP MAP leaves out the UNC drive naming part ( for Windows folks):

Here's a link to follow up on Babak's excellent suggestion:

How to Map a Physical File Location Outside of APPROOT Manually

This page shows this:
APP MAP test c:\temptest\

But -you may need a drive that is NOT on your WFRS (WebFOCUS Reporting Server). So - a UNC name might be good so you don't have to map a drive. Remember if you're running on Windows, you may need to tweak your WFRS Service to run under a user ID that's allowed to reach a network shared drive...

Scroll down for the blurb about UNC names if you're using Windows.

app map test \\mynode\myshare\accnting for example...

Good luck!
