Hi Prarie,

That post talks about removing the blank line between the header and the title but that is not the issue Iam facing currently...

If you or anyone can run the car file,Iam getting 2 extra lines above the heading and Iam not sure on how to eliminate it.

Could anyone please help?

Thanks a lot in advance!

<b><font FACE="ARIAL">Car heading</font></b></td></tr>
<tr>

I don't get extra lines ( or I'm looking in the wrong place )

...
<title>Car report</title>
</head>
<body>
<table cellpadding=1>
<tr>
<td NOWRAP colspan=18 align=CENTER>
<b><font FACE="ARIAL">Car heading</font></b></td></tr>
<tr>
<td NOWRAP colspan=18 align=CENTER>
<b><i><font FACE="ARIAL" size=2>Source data</font></i></b></td></tr>

Hi,

WF_IL and Dave - With the car file,Iam not getting the extra 2 lines above the header however in my fex file,this is the html code(view source) which I got and it has "nbsp".A small chunk of the code upto the header is shown below:

<style>
table.empty {
width: 350px;
border-collapse: collapse;
empty-cells: hide;
}
tr:empty {
visibility: hidden;
}
table, th, td {
border: 1px solid black;
	border-collapse: collapse;
	}
</style>
<!--Olap Javascript-->
<html>
<head>
<meta name="HandheldFriendly" content="True">
<meta name="PalmComputingPlatform" content="True">
<meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<title>Regional Core Overlapping Report</title>
</head>
<body>
<table cellpadding=1>
<tr>
<td NOWRAP colspan=17>
 </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td NOWRAP colspan=17>
 </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td NOWRAP colspan=17 align=CENTER>
<font FACE="ARIAL">Report1</font></td></tr>
<tr>

I tried removing the "nbsp" manually and running the report - fex file and it removes the extra 2 rows above the header but it removes the background color which I have applied for each of the data values under each column.

Is there any other to eliminate the "nbsp" in the code without affecting the color coding applied for the data and to remove the extra 2 rows above the header.

Please let me know.Thanks a lot in advance for all your help Smiler

Hi

Please post a repro on CAR, what is the difference between the fex you posted on CAR and the fex which causes this issue?

Hi,

Only for one fex file which is under 1 specific folder,the report is working fine (without any extra 2 rows above the header) but in the rest of the fex files under different folders,Iam getting these extra 2 rows (empty ones) above the header.

Iam confused whether this is my code problem or some webfocus issue.

Please let me know your thoughts.

info4pal,

Are all the fexes using the same HTML code?
Please post an example using the CAR file ( so we can try it ) using the HTML that is in your " other folders" that is displaying the extra 2 lines that you are seeing.

Compare the code in all your folders and see if there are any differences. Can you copy a focexec that is not working in one folder to the folder where the code is working and see what you get?

Thank you for participating in the Focal Point Forum!
