[CLOSED] Task error: SU. CENTRAL DATABASE MACHINE ERROR: BOTSBDS (EDA 541)
I'm getting this error from an RC job:

Task error: SU. CENTRAL DATABASE MACHINE ERROR: BOTSBDS (EDA 541)

I have multiple RC jobs and the ones that ran before and after this particular job did not show this error. Does anybody know what this means? Should I just recreate the RC job?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Joel

Joel,

Did you look on Information Builders Tech Support for this error? I looked for "CENTRAL DATABASE MACHINE ERROR EDA 541".

Here are two of several search results - same error, very different solutions!

quote:

Case: 50372004 Product: WebFOCUS Web Components Release: 7.1.4

Symptom:

Report Caster jobs are not being scheduled.
In scheduler.log file we see the error message:
SU. CENTRAL DATABASE MACHINE ERROR: BOTSCHED (EDA 541)

Problem:

Report Caster service was not running and could not be started.

Solution:

Recreating Report Caster log tables solved the problem.

quote:

Case: 21702048 Product: WebFOCUS ReportCaster Release: 713

Symptom:

Reader--Error reading schedules:
SU. CENTRAL DATABASE MACHINE ERROR: BOTSCHED (EDA 541)

Problem:

Received the above error message in the scheduler.log and when trying to
access ReportCaster.

Solution:

SET BASEURL=http://edaserve.nist.gov was listed in the edasprof.prf. Once this
line of code was removed from this file the problem was resolve.
The edasprof.prf is listed in ibi\srv71\wfs\etc.
