Are there any errors ?
The documentation states "APP MAP appname path to directory"
You have APP MAP TESTING/ TEST
I think the / is wrong. and the test should be a path to a physical location available to the server

I don't use
quote:
APP MAP TESTING/ TEST
All I use is
quote:
APP HOLDDATA TESTING APP HOLDMETA TESTING
and it works fine in 8282m g60.

Try using just APP HOLD
APP HOLD BASEAPP
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM SALES
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE HOLD AS _CARHOLD
END
That saves a .mas file and a .ftm file in the baseapp folder
Assuming that "TESTING" is a proper application, then you should remove the hold meta/data commands. This will add temp files to the directory as well, and that is never good. Do an explicit reference to the target application in your table request. That way you only get the .mas and hold file, and the .mas will have all the references to the hold file that was created.
quote:
TABLE FILE H1 PRINT DOLLARS BY REGION BY ST ON TABLE HOLD AS TESTING/DATASOURCE MORE FILE H2 END
