Is there a way to lock the width of a single column in a report when using ON TABLE SET AUTOFIT ON?

I have a table where I want the first BY column to be locked to a specific size and have the other columns in my ACROSS adjust to fit the window size. I wasn't able to find anything that allowed me to do this looking through the GUI unfortunately...

Have you tried setting the WIDTH of the column ?

TYPE=REPORT, COLUMN=??, WIDTH=n.n, $

Should work for HTML, PDF

I tried setting the WIDTH, but it didn't seem to work. I did stumble upon setting SQUEEZE to a value and that seemed to give me the results I wanted after playing with it.

TYPE=REPORT, 
	COLUMN=N1, 
	SQUEEZE=1.5, 
$

doesn't work in HTML, but will in PDF. no change when I try ON TABLE SET AUTOFIT ON or ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON

is there something I am missing?!?

The Issue seems to be the FIELDNAME. Using AS should fix the problem.
