Does anyone know the sytnax for EDAGET? Something similiar to what Waz posted here EDAPUT Syntax for EDAPUT. I'm planning on using the technique dhagen suggested in [CLOSED] Delivering files through WebFOCUS. I want to make sure that I use EDAGET correctly.

Hi everybody,

what - EDAGET. When I first saw this post it looked too good to be true (incl. the related posts). But then finally the small but important hint appeared "text-based files okay; binary-types no joy". Tested it myself and sadly have to agree: A 

-MRNOEDIT EX EDAGET PDF,HOLD_PDF,b


returns a broken PDF.

So I still have to stick to my tedious own workarounds: Either base64 converted PDFs embedded in MHTML (does not seem to work in IE anymore) or hacking the file download function Roll Eyes of WebFOCUS in temp folder (works quite well for 7.7.03, but requires the current browser session ID to be transfered to FEX)

Hopefully, somebody will soon find an out-of-the-box solution for providing binaries from WebFOCUS.

I would raise a case with IB on this. There has been a solution to using EDAGET to retrieve externally created PDF files which has been used successfully.
