For some reason, I cannot get this to work. I'm sure it is something simple, but my TST field is not coming back with anything.

 COMPUTE TST/A1000 = STRREP(1000,NOTE,1,'&',3,'"&"',3,'A1000');

Here is the field that I am evaluating:
"TEST & TO SQL SERVER"

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

STRREP (inlength, instring, searchlength, searchstring, replength, repstring, outlength, output)
COMPUTE TST/A1000 = STRREP(1000, NOTE, 1, '&', 3, '"&"', 3, 1000, 'A1000');

Don't you mean
STRREP (inlength, instring, searchlength, searchstring, replength, repstring, outlength, output)
COMPUTE TST/A1000 = STRREP(1000, NOTE, 1, '&', 3, '"&"', 1000, 'A1000');

Keep in mind that you are changing 1 char to three, so the string will get longer.

You may have issues with the 1000 chars.

I was only out length was choking it up. I knew it was something simple I was overlooking.

 COMPUTE TST/A1000 = STRREP(1000, NOTE, 1, '&', 3, '"&"', 1000, 'A1000');

Thanks for saving the day!
