Hi,
I am trying to configure Webfocus client 7.6.4 in a clustered environment.The Webfocus reporting servers are in a clustered environment.

Is it mandatory to set the license in odin.cfg file.If yes, is it same as the license code specified during the installation of webfocus client?

Following is the configuration in odin.cfg

LICENSE=XXXX
NODE = RMTEST
BEGIN
CLASS = CLUSTER
ALTERNATE = RMTEST1,RMTEST2,RMTEST3,RMTEST4
DESCRIPTION = Prod Cluster
END

In the example above, RMTEST1,RMTEST2,RMTEST3 and RMTEST4 are the nodes configured in the same odin.cfg

I don't know for sure but I think it is a different license key. Have you checked the 'pink sheets' as I call them that came with the software. The keys are usually on them. If not, you can call your local branch or open a case to get the number.

The license key must be inserted inorder for clustering to work.

The key is different from the WebFOCUS Client license key. If you are licensed for it, on your sheet of license keys, you'll find a 4 digit code starting with 0
