I've created a new group, a new user and assigned them to the group, and built a group view. But the user seems to be getting an old version of the dashboard or some weird selection of its bits and pieces that aren't what they're supposed to have. It's missing the Library page. It has all of the links across the top of the page in spite of me removing all but four of them. This user is assigned to only one group and is not an admin.

Oddly enough, when I use the Views option on the Links menu (which isn't supposed to be there) it shows me the correct version of the links across the top. I still don't get the library tab.

So . . . I log in as the admin which has the new group view as their default view and I get the same behavior -- wrong view on login. But! When I select the group view from the menus I get EVERYTHING correct.

There's no logic to this. I'm gonna lose a day creating a single user.

Alright, I changed something and now the Library page is available. The Links Menu is still wrong when you first arrive. No clue why.

7.7.03 still seems to have more than a few unresolved issues.

John,
The behavior you are seeing is expected behavior. If a user has already logged into the dashboard and inherited a group view they will get the look and feel of the Dashboard view. However, the content information will not be assigned to that user. You can take a look at the following documentation which goes over the Dashboard Inheritance:

If you still have any questions or problems please open a case and one of our technical support specialist can assist further.

So when I reassign a user to a group dashboard and reset his view, I should still get the prior version of the group dashboard?

When you reassign a user and replace his view with the group view, he should see the updated group view when he logs in.

I'm sure you did this but just in case you didn't, make sure that when you reassign a user to a new view that you check the box at the bottom labeled "Replace User Content with View Content."

Yeah, I reassigned and it mostly works, but not completely. This is an odd bug in the system. I've had other tasking come up so I haven't gotten back to this. This is 64-bit on a virtual server so it may be a version-specific bug. I'll update when I get back to it.
