We recently upgraded to 7.7.03. I've been receiving complaints from one user in particular that their reports are crashing more frequently than they did in 7.6.5. It's not happening to everyone, so I'm wondering if this is a code issue. Could it be a server issue with not enough resources? Has anyone else experienced this, and can you share what your solution? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Leanne Wood,

With every new release we get "code tightening"...things that used to make it by in an old release are now failing. You will have to take a look at their reports and determine what is making it crash and see if you can find a common thing...

If it's only with one person and just some reports probably. But not to say there could be an issue, but I've found 7.7.03 to be a pretty stable release.

thanks again, Prarie. There have been a few other crashed agents here and there, but this user seems to have issues with one report in particular. Sometimes it runs, sometimes it crashes.

One of the area I have seen to be particularely sensitive in 77x is producing PDF with embedded graphs. If for any reason a component of a COMPOUND PDF is missing (things as simple as a chart as no data) then producing the PDF tend to crash !
