Does anyone out there know where the manual or description of the PDF layout language is.

I have found docs on the PDF layout painter but cannot find them on the language itself.

Hope someone can help so I can find out what this means.

Good Question. I created the following which allowed you to do Page # of Pages..in a PDF compound report. But I can't figure out how to incorporate it into one I have manually coded.

PAGELAYOUT=ALL, NAME='Page Master', $
OBJECT=STRING, NAME='text1', TEXT='Page ibi-page-number/ of ibi-total-pages/', POSITION=(6.563 0.625), MARKUP=ON, WRAP=ON, DIMENSION=(1.354 0.625), font='ARIAL', color=RGB(0 0 0), size=10, $

I love it - searching Tech Support provided this:

There were no results for PAGELAYOUT.
Here are the results for page layout.

Can anyone say "undocumented features"?

Hi Paulo

The confusing thing is that there is a simple COMPOUND document syntax with stylesheets (the ref you gave me) and then there is a PDF layout language that allows you to link items .pdf, text and image files.

There does not seem to be docs on this.

Maybe this is the first example of code generated by the GUI that we're not supposed to know about...
