I am trying FORECAST for the first time. It works fine when my only by field is numeric or a date but when I add my division code (aplha) as the first BY field I get a formatting error. And yes I realize FORECAST needs the last BY field to be numeric or a date. But why does it care if the first one of two is alpha?

What version are you on ?

The examples in the documentation have a first sort of alpha.

Does it work or fail ?

I'm on 767. And yes, I saw the help text which made me think it should work but it doesn't. I've tried a combination of things and still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated
