I have a schedule in report caster which should start executing when a Mainframe file is created. Is this possible to trigger the schedule once the file is ready? From looking at lots of previous threads, I checked Pre/Post processing procedure but using this can we trigger the schedule or it just execute the pre procedure at the given time? Also if anyone can brief what exactly pre/post processing procedure does? How can I give my mainframe file path in WebFocus to check its existence?

To have RC start a job when a file exist somewhere, you should use the Alert feature.
You can find documentation regarding this.
