I have a series of FEX reports that each provide a KPI value. Those FEX reports are displayed in an HTML page that is dropped into a portal. We would like to add the ability for the user to hover over a value and see a tooltip explaining how that value is calculated. Is anyone well versed on creating hover tooltips for FEX reports?

You can add the DESCRIPTION= attribute to each field in a master file. When it's present, and SET POPUPDESC=ON, the description will popup on hover over the field.

You can also add descriptions to a DEFINE as follows:

NEW_CNTRY/A40  DESCRIPTION 'this is the tooltip'=IF COUNTRY EQ 'ENGLAND' THEN 'UK' ELSE IF COUNTRY EQ 'W GERMANY' THEN 'GERMANY' ELSE COUNTRY;

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT NEW_CNTRY COUNTRY
