Hello,
i don't know if this is a stupid question? But anyway, is it possible to ad culumns in a report behind an across command. Or to move the by fields
behind the across field?? thanks to all!!! i know that the across field is related to the by field.

Yes, you can add columns after the across. It has to be a computed collumn however. Example:
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM DCOST BY COUNTRY BY CAR BY MODEL
ACROSS SEATS
COMPUTE WHATEVER/A10 = 'WHATEVER';
END

I do. The only question that is stupid is the one you did not ask...
So, no, this is not a stupid question.

Thank you GamP!! in the example you have a static value. in my report i use a double list cotrol, to specify the look of the report,
to combine the BY fields, after the varibale that holds the by field combination i use the accross. now my costumer wants some of the BY fields behind
the across, just of usability reason. i hope my englisch is good enough to explain my problem.
....
TABLE FILE EK_BASIS_PERS
PRINT
EK_BASIS_PERS.NAME
-SET BYDISPLAY=&MyByDis
BY &Sortfeld2.EVAL
ACROSS J1.VERTEILERLISTE
WHERE J1.VERTEILERLISTE EQ &VERTEILERLISTE;
WHERE J2.LAND EQ '&LAND';
WHERE J1.GUELTIG_VON LE DT(&YYMD)
AND J1.GUELTIG_BIS GE DT(&YYMD);
WHERE AMI_NR IN FILE FILTERKRV
....

greetings
christian

Look into the SEQUENCE tag in WebFOCUS style-sheets: Creating Reports With WebFOCUS Language > Laying Out the Report Page > Arranging Columns on a Page > Changing Column Order

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM SALES
BY COUNTRY
ACROSS SEATS
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT, COLUMN=COUNTRY, COLOR=RED, SEQUENCE=99, $
END

If it's a question of displaying an extra field to the right of the across, it has to be a computed field. In the expression you can of course code whatever you need. If it is a question of just relocating fields that are already present in the request, use the sequence methodology, that's by far the easiest way to do that.
