when trying to access a report in web focus 5.3.5 us to Oracle 1db on 12 C Im getting the following message
ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol

any idea how to fix this

Wow I did not think anyone was still running WebFOCUS 5.3.5. I found this on techsupport from an old case and it may help you.

adding this line in the SQLNET.ORA on the database side solved the ORA-28040

SQLNET.ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_SERVER=8
