Could someone tell me how to get the last 12 months of data based on a date from the user.
I would like to loop through and get the last 12 months of data based on the START_DATE.

TABLE FILE VOLUME_TREND
PRINT
    START_DATE
    ID
    SALES_AMOUNT
WHERE ID EQ '&ID'
ON TABLE HOLD AS TREND
END
-RUN

Thank you.

Use Focus data functions to calculate last 12 months date from user date and use int in WHERE statement.

WHERE START_DATE BETWEEN &USER_ENTRY TO &LAST_12_MONTH_DATE

If you want code sample to calculate User entered date - 12 month please search forum.

Thanks

I would like to make these data points on a graph so each month in the last year would be represented.

You can Define a new date using your date field setting the output format as M, MY, MYY YM, or YYM, MT, Mt, MTR or Mtr depending on your needs. Your documentation has all of these explained.

If the first question is solved, you better start a new request for this , now it is a bit confusing.
