How can the value being passed for the "ignore", of an html form (launch page: LP) control, be changed from "FOC_NONE" to something else, such as "All"?I couldn't find anything here about this, a lot about ignore and FOC_NONE, but nothing about changing the returned value from FOC_NONE to...

Discussion Topic  RE: [CLOSED] issue w/ DYNAMIC WHERE statement (in WebFOCUS/FOCUS Forum on Focal Point ) by Dave
J,The trick is that FOC_NONE has the effect of ignore the complete line of code. And you have to keep that in mind.See sample 1:-SET &IGNORE = 'FOC_NONE'; TABLE FILE CAR SUM SALES BY COUNTRY BY CAR WHERE ( COUNTRY EQ '&IGNORE' ) AND ( CAR EQ 'TOYOTA' OR 'BMW...

Discussion Topic  RE: No Selection Parameter (in WebFOCUS/FOCUS Forum on Focal Point ) by Darin Lee
ahh - the old FOC_NONE strikes again. The problem is that, under the covers, when "No selection" is used, a variable value of FOC_NONE is inserted for the parameter value. WebFOCUS is trained to ignore any line of code which contains the string FOC_NONE. The problem is that if there are other parm...

quote:Originally posted by Tom Flynn:-IF &STORE EQ 'FOC_NONE' GOTO SKIP_STORE;WHERE STORE EQ "&STORE';-SKIP_STORETom, I'm confused. Why add the goto? Right, 500 legacy programs and we're going to change code to _FOC_NULL??? Don't think so...In the HTML properties Document section, we set Ignore Filters to FOC_NONE so they wouldn't break...Ridiculous change..._FOC_NULL in quotes is fine, as usual.Try this:TABLE FILE CARPRINT *WHERE COUNTRY EQ...

hmm, strange. I don't have that issue in 8.0.08.... whats the ignore value set to in the Administration Console? Is it FOC_NONE for you? Default since at least 7703 has been _FOC_NULL. If its different for you in 8007, someone would have had to intentionally changed it....

Using the painter, when you the the ALL option it passes a value of FOC_NONE. This is a key word the FOCUS uses to ignore the line on which it is found.
