FOCUS PROGRAMMER

This position is responsible for the programming, analysis, design, and implementation of application systems to meet complex management information needs. Produces program enhancements and implements necessary data conversion to all MIS systems. Ensures the integrity, quality, efficiency and proper documentation of all applications developed or maintained. Works on large database programming projects using FOCUS, WebFocus, and other web-based tools in an intranet/web based environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: � College Degree in computer science/ concentration in Information Systems. � 3 years of extensive programming experience with FOCUS or WebFocus. � 4+ years experience in programming, designing, and testing complex in a complex software systems environment. � 2+ years experience in developing applications. � Experience with web based development tools preferred
REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: � Thorough understanding of the application language. � Thorough understanding of Personal Computer/LAN systems and applications as well as Internet/web technology. � Conversant in information science concepts and their application. � Able to continually learn new programming techniques and skills as the industry changes, i.e. web, Internet, and intranet environments.
