My favorite off site event was in New Orleans in 1998 at the House of Blues....they had a sax player on each street corner and we followed the music from the hotel to the House of Blues. Great time had by all!! We wore glow-in-the-dark Summit shirts.

I think my most memorable Summit as far as off site activities go would be Orlando in 2006.
Here's why:
In the early 90s my wife and I went to Florida for vacation and went to Universal Studios one day. We got on the Back to the Future ride and my wife really didn't like it so I spent the whole ride keeping her calm. I have never been able to get back on that ride until I was at Summit in 2006 and went there again for the offsite activity. I finally got to enjoy my Back to the Future ride over 10 years later. I also got to go on every other ride my wife would not have liked. It was a sweet moment.
Thanks!
Mickey

Having only been to the one Summit (2007), I cannot relate my "favourite" Summit, but I do have several favourite times from within that one Summit.
Most memorable was the chance I had to meet so many of the Forum members. Not only frequent posters but also those whom had requested help and to whom I had replied. Although they came and said thank you for the assistance I might have given, the big thing for me was that they took the time to come and say "hello"! I am only sorry that I did not have more time to speak to individuals - something I would like to remedy this year (if I go!).
Another memorable time was meeting all the IBI gang to whom I had spoken on the telephone over the years or had conversed with via the Forum. Not only Noreen, Art, Mark and the other wizards, Kathleen our Forum mentor and of course Gerry! but all the folks who work behind the scenes for the good of the product. One of these people was someone who I had not seen for around 12 years (FOCUS years - pre WebFOCUS!!) having last worked together in the Southwest of England.
I hope to meet up again with many new friends and acquaintances from last year. For me, that has the making of a memorable moment to come!!
See you there!! - hopefully

The "Matrix" movie, with Gerry in the lead. THE alltime greatest opening show. The worst..anything w/ a keynote speaker...saps all the energy from the room. The Sunday night reception is a shrieking and hugging fest...is always the most fun thing to look forward to. The Spiderman ride at Universal..the best of the best Tuesday nite fetes. Playing the Art/Noreen game...always a challenge. This year the Focal Point 'Magnificent 7' have a thing of our own...stay tuned...

Hello Focal Pointers! We will have the Tips and Techniques session again this year. I want everyone to be there. All of the Virtouso's will get front row seats at the Tips and Techniques contest. I'm working on the details now and also plan on doing some Focal Point promotion...i'll keep you posted. I really look forward to seeing everyone!
