We have recently changed our NLS Settings for DM server 7.7.02 to Unicode (65001),after that we have observed that spaces are getting appended at the end when loading an Alpha numeric data (An) to AnV field on target database (Oracle).e.g a Source Synonym contains a field of type A2 and mapping it to a target field of type A8V which points to a VARCHAR2(8) field on database. After loading the data, we could see that 4 additional spaces are getting appended to the source field (A2), making its length 6 characters.
i.e An is becoming A(3*n), I didn't see this kind of behavior (padding spaces) in any other application like Oracle, Java (Java uses UTF-16 as its internal code page) etc...so why is DM behaving like this?
