Last night we had one of our ETL processes fail. Usually works fine, nothing was changed to it. Looked at the logs, and I see the following errors: 02/18/2015 21:06:57.655 E error: failed to open ctrl pipe 02/18/2015 21:06:57.655 E tscomid=500, sesid=0: error in nwsrvcrt: possible communication failure
02/18/2015 21:07:01.805 E error: failed to submit request to edapth 02/18/2015 21:07:01.805 E (EDA60002) agent from SCHED_DEFAULT service aborted
I found the following article making mention to the first error, but related to Report Caster. Not sure if the same would apply here. 70842548
Any ideas what could of caused the issue?
We recycled the box when the error occurred and reran the process, all worked fine.
Thanks in advance! This message has been edited. Last edited by: Tamra,
I think you are running out of scheduler agents; so restarting the server solves the problem for a while. Increase the number of agents as per the post you found, but for SCHED_DEFAULT.
That should do it, but if the problem recurs please open a case with hotline.
