Information Builders PMF version 5.2.2 was released to manufacturing May 12, 2010 and is available on the Information Builders software download site.

This is a Generally Available version and adds, in addition to the Flex support, WYSIWIG Dashboard Design, Risk & Consequence, Compound Objectives, 6-level Time Dimensions, Tagetik integration, and general usability improvements of the PMF 5.2 platform:

• Dashboard Designer now has Draggable Guidelines with Target Screen Resolution Support, Catalog Search, Multi-Drag of Gadgets, & Snap Grid Control
  
• You can globally Reset Dashboard Preferences from the Dashboard Designer & Scorecard panel
  
• Designers can Create Gadgets with WebFOCUS 7701+ InfoAssist & save any MR Content as a Gadget
  
• Admins can Add & Register Gadgets (GDG files) right from the Catalog
  
• New Strategy Map Gadget w/ full animation & drillability
  
• New Flex Tag Cloud Gadget displays live drillable Search data from Metrics, Objectives, Feedback, Tasks & Projects
  
• New Drillable Flex Tree Map Gadget displays apportionment of metrics for Dimensions
  
• Many Metric & Objective Flex bars across Dimensions are now drillable
  
• For grid reports you can now use intelligently-ranked grids for Values and Percent Reached
  
• Grids also allow you to display H-M-L (G-Y-R) Raw Counts and Percents of Total
  
• View Measure Tasks on reports where Measures, Objectives or Risks are displayed. You can also create new Measure Tasks & Alerts from a Measure, Objective or Risk
  
• For rapid prototyping, a new User-Entered Dimension tool allows rapid protoyping, and for demos, lets you directly edit existing Loaded Dimension Values
  
• New native Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese and Catalan languages have been added, in addition to English, French, Spanish, German & Japanese
  

PMF 5.2.2 is certified with WF 7.6.7 and higher, and will work with WebFOCUS 7.7.01 and higher. If you need to support an earlier version of WebFOCUS, please contact Information Builders Technical support.

The PMF Installer will automatically upgrade PMF to the latest version without requiring a manual uninstall as was required in previous releases. You can simply re-run the PMF installer to upgrade your installation.

Notes:
1. If you are working with a PMF V5.0 or earlier data mart, you will have to migrate the PMF data mart manually to the V5.1 level. However, from V5 onward, migrations are autonomic - when the Administrator starts PMF, the application will detect and allow the administrator to automatically migrate the currently data mart by choice. PMF 5.2.2 will only work on that mart after it is upgraded. Upgrades are safe; however please always back up any mart before migrating it.

2. If you have PMF installed in a multi-tier configuration, please remember to run the installation separately for your Web server and WebFOCUS server boxes.
