There's an obscure feature in the PMF Measure Loader that allows you to specify the fields to be loaded, and to load the Dimension linkage keys and Measures using a procedure, rather than using the UI in the loader.
We have the impression that the option is not used much. It was used in the very early days of PMF, when it was the ONLY option (before we built the loaders we have now).
We are in the process of redesigning the loaders to make them a lot easier to use. Right now they are the hardest part of PMF to learn. In the course of that we're considering removing the obscure "custom coding" option from the Field mapping tab in the Measure Loader. No, not the "code" v. "field" option for individual fields - that's staying. The Source Type > Custom Coding option.
We told you, it's obscure. We think nobody is using it. So if anyone wants to keep it, please let us know, and let us know how you're using it, because maybe there's a way we can build that into the UI.
If we do not hear anything, we are going to remove the option.
thanks!
