This information is found in Appendix A of the PMF documentation (Installing PMF).

After you install 5.2.1 over the 5.1 environment, when you log on as an admin for that PMF installation, PMF will offer to auto-migrate your data mart for you.

Depending on the platform you are running, you might need a hotfix to ensure this works right in every situation (we found a rare case where one customer who had deleted some of the factory preset dashboards and time ranges caused the migrate script to error out).

Upgrade scripts always can be found in /ibi/apps/pmfdbms/upgrade_database/.

You'll find scripts tagged for your RDBMS and with names like 521_520_[rdbms]_migrate.sql. Because you sometimes have to run multiple scripts (for example 513 to 521 would require you to migrate incrementally to all the step releases in between), the auto migrate is a preferred method, because it runs all the steps for you.

Always make sure to back up your 5.1 DB before running an upgrade.

thanks
