7.8.6 - 5.1.2 - Oracle

We removed all measures from PMF.
Changed Time dimension loader from "Separate Table" to "Time AutoGen".
Saved.
When clicked on Preview, we got FOCUS error:

Running dim_loaderlook for dimension type (DTTYNM): Time
0 ERROR AT OR NEAR LINE 204 IN PROCEDURE _dim_loaderlookFOC
(FOC281) ALPHA ARGUMENTS IN PLACE WHERE NUMERIC ARE CALLED FOR
-----
We logged off and logged back on, -- nothing is showing under Manage tab any more.

Any thoughts?
thnx

It's good practice to state from a high level what you're trying to do (e.g., are you trying to flush everything out and start anew?)

If that's the case, it's recommended you simply re-run the table build DDL (SQL) for Oracle. That will give you a clean, fresh start.

thanks

Yes, trying to redo the PMF implementation all together. Switching to a new Custom Fiscal Time dimension, other than the one we head.

Both the old and new Time dimension is different than the Gregorian calendar.

We deleted all measures.

I think the problem was that we left System Settings-Today Date pointing to a specific date in our Custom Time Dimension "2008-2009/10/01"

We switched to AutoGenTime in the Time Dimension setup/load screen and immediately, we lost PMF.

Using Oracle client tool, I rebuilt the system_setting table using the original load script.

PMF was back again. I rebuilt the time dimension, using AutoGen with "Delete if not in new". This deleted the old custom time entries.

Take Care
