Modify PMF report column titles
Hi,

I should modify some column titles in PMF reports and I know there a few files that have & values for titles, text, headings etc. But, where and/or how is the word 'Tgt' set up? If you e.g. use gadget Metric - Dimensional Crosstab Across Measure Grid, it produces a report with column title '% of Tgt'. I know how to change '% of', but where is 'Tgt'? I changed the & variable for 'Target', thinking if 'Tgt' would be produced from this, but no. I've also tried and used Windows search for files with string/word 'Tgt', but no success there either. What am I missing here Wink ?

Thanks,
Mika

PMF is a multi-language product. Many parts are designed to be translateable.

You will find the translation files in the \pmflang app folder

For English, you want to the files that begin with (en_).

The value you seek is in the file that contains translated common items for report column titles: en_pmf_rpt_coltitles.fex

Bob, thanks for your prompt reply. I've modified the & values in the file you mentioned, en_pmf_rpt_coltitles.fex, but I can only make the '% of' change by modifying this file. There is no & value for 'Tgt', only 'Target'. Modifying 'Target' doesn't change anything in the report.

Thanks,
Mika

Changing the word Target should not change the displayed abbreviation Tgt. Computers are literal.

Ah yes. This value is in the DB.

you have to do the following:

Edit en_pm_sys_measrs_flds.csv to change the abbreviation for Target.

Switch off English to another valid language in the System settings.

Switch back to English.

That's the only way to re-apply the values.

The value can't be longer than is acceptable for the field.

Or you can edit the values directly in the table.

thanks
