We have recenly implemted PMF and have a development and production environement. Once developement components have been validated, we would like to move them to production. Is there a process to move compenents such as new measures from one evironement to another as in SAP where there are transports?

No, such a thing does not exist in PMF today; the data mart is today an all-or-nothing sort of affair. You can move and restore an entire data mart between two environments via snapshot restore, but not a discrete component. We've recently been exploring methods to allow our dashboards and their concomitant gadgets to be exportable. But not any other components.
We haven't and aren't yet making a commitment to do such a thing yet. But we coudl explore the implications and expectations for such a capability. So...
What aspects of a measure would you think should be transportable between instances? Is it just the measure definitions and metadata, or the values as well which you would primarily are interested in transporting? Would you expect the software to indicate if the data could not be correctly synchronized between the environments due to things like naming conflicts, dimensions not loaded on target, dimensions loaded differently between the source and the target? Any other capabilities you would expect from this?
thanks
