EndreScorecard Functional Access
I'm trying to limit the number of scorecards an Owner is allowed to view (Scorecard Security). Also, for the same owner, I'm trying limit the access to measures and dimension via Access Role.
If I choose the Global Scorecard Access (G), will the Scorecard Security settings be ignored? And wise versa, if I choose the Scorecard Access (S), will the Access Role security be ignored for a particular Owner?
thnx, Endre

Bob Jude FerranteFunctional access controls what you are allowed to do.
RLS or Access Security controls what you are allowed to see (measure dimensionality).
Scorecard Functional access also allows you to block users from seeing particular Scorecards.
You can have Scorecard level functional access combined with user-based or scorecard-based access security or with access security turned off.
Note that if you block a user from seeing a scorecard that has unique access to a particular measure, that the user won't see that measure. Scorecards control what measures (linked measures) users can see.
The possible combinations of functional roles and access security give you maximum flexibility.
thanks

Bob Jude FerranteThere's complete documentation on this.
See the chapter: Control in PMF V5 in the PMF New Feature reference guide for complete documentation.
You can access it in your \ibi\apps\mainstreet\documentation folder as "PMF New Features.pdf"
Starting on Page 64 and going through Page 69.

EndreI see where our confusion was.
There are two drop down selections in setting.
1) Access Security (O G S)
2) Scorecard Func. Access (G S)
We missed the second, the Scorecard Func. Access. Now it makes sense. The document mentioned above really helped with the explanation and how the two settings work together.
