I created a new gadget focexec which runs fine in PMF. I created the thumbnail image by putting a screen shot of the report into Paint, cropping it, and saving it as .PNG file. I copied this .PNG file to Web Applications > pmfgadgets > thumbs.

The problem is that in the dashboard designer gadget catalog the thumbnail is huge and blurred.

What's causing this and how can I fix it?

Make sure the size of the thumbnail is scaled properly first. We recommend that the image be scaled to 160 x 160px. Most thumbs are not square so whichever size is greater (height or width) should be the 160px. MS picture manager is a tool that works well for this.

Thank you, Mike. That solved the problem, your telling me about the MS Picture Manager is a big help. Much better than Paint for this!
