This file is currently over 100 MB. When can the file of this size become problematic?

100MB is pretty big.

It's harmless to clear it if you no longer want to store it, or to back it up and blank it out.

Most PMF customers put a process in place to clear it out regularly. We haven't done a "feature" to do that yet (the file is of course managed by the OS).
