Bob Jude FerrantePMF 5.2.3 now Generally Available
Information Builders PMF version 5.2.3 was released to manufacturing November 2, 2010, and is currently available on the Information Builders software download site at
http://techsupport.informationbuilders.com.
PMF 5.2.3 is Generally Available, contains all the features of 5.2.2, and adds two new capabilities to increase PMF's adoptability in wide-scale deployments:
- Speed: PMF's Web profile has been retuned to run sufficiently fast for full Internet (rather than the previously-typical Intranet/LAN) deployment.
- Accessibility: PMF’s available accessibility options have been automated to integrate with WebFOCUS’ accessibility settings, and accessible Dashboards and Gadgets have been added to the framework to simplify and clarify the capabilities.
In addition, these new capabilities are also available:
- Cause and effect drills added to the Strategy Map
- 11 formatting "skins" completed and ready for use
Note that PMF 5.2.3 runs on both WebFOCUS 7.6.7 or higher and WebFOCUS 7.7.01. We anticipate a Hotfix to 5.2.3 will be required to support WebFOCUS 7.7.02.
For a full list of new capabilities from the previous PMF release, PMF 5.2.2, please see the
previous FocalPoint posting regarding the 5.2.2 release from May. If you already have PMF 5.2.3 installed, you can also find a PDF containing details about all new features in /ibi/apps/mainstreet/documentation/PMF New Features.pdf.

Clinton Side-KickBob,
I'm having some "fun" getting PMF 523 to install 1st time under WF 7702 (64bit on Windows 7 Ultimate).
The MR groups, users and domains will not create. Used the PMFadditions.bat file which resulted in the users being created, but not the groups or domain. Also no group views in BID View Builder.
Does this potentially relate to the Hotfix you anticipate I'll be needing?
I'm thinking of installing PMF 523 on a VMware image with WF7701, then to migrate the MR and BID environments to my WF 7702 installation.
Kind regards,
Clinton

Bob Jude FerranteThe hotfix will be out tomorrow (Fri Dec 10). Yes, you'll need it to install PMF 5.2.3 on 7.7.02.
