PMF 5.1.4 and WF 7.7

Hello.

We are currently evaluating an upgrade to webfocus 7.7 series. We are currently at WF 7611 and PMF 5.1.4 on MSSQL backend.

Is PMF 5.1.4 certified with Webfocus version 7.7? Do we need to upgrade PMF as well?

Please advise.

PMF 5.1 dates back two years, whereas 7.7 is this year's WebFOCUS software.

You will need to upgrade PMF to at least version 5.2.2HF2 level to be able to run on WebFOCUS 7.7. The upgrade process is detailed in the PMF Installation and Configuation Guide. Unless you have customized content, you can simply re-install the new version of PMF and the new version of PMF will automatically migrate your Data Mart to 5.2.2 or higher.

It's recommended you wait to upgrade your WebFOCUS server until 7.7.02 or higher is generally available, as it's much more stable and higher quality than 7.7.01.

By the time 7.7.02 comes out, PMF 5.2.3 will be generally available, so we strongly recommend you take that release. It has impressive performance improvements on the Web tier and even LAN users are noticing it's snappier. Plus you get all the cool features in the 5.2 release series, including the new Dashboard Designer, Flex gadgets, etc.
