What does the wfupdate check box in the PMF installer control and with which tier's install is it to be selected?

That option copies in the MR domain files for PMF and various other options that support JSP integration with PMF. It's recommended you always select this option - even on an upgrade - because it will ensure the latest files used in integrating PMF with core WebFOCUS are copied in.
