Hi,

I am introducing Metric Flex Mix 04 Dashboard to my client. I am running IE Version 8 with no issues. My client's team is composed of users that are using IE 6 and IE 7.

Question
Are there issues with rendering flex object information with these browser versions?
Are there performance issues?

Thank in advance.

Flash technology works the same in all browsers. No hidden caveats.

Flash involves data transfer of XML to the controller built into the PMF dashboard surface. This is pretty fast (but performance is not a simple matter of Flash technology - please see the WebFOCUS PMF Installation and Configuration Guide to review all aspects of what makes a web-based app such as PMF run fast). But remember Flash has to load, and the Flash controls are large. So if you are on a slow wire, that first experience will take an additional few seconds or more depending on your wire speed. Flash has a caching technology which you can access on your PC from an Adobe support site:

http://macromedia.com/support/...tings_manager07.html

This appears to be an outside website but actually points back to your local Flash cache.

There is doc on configuring this in the WebFOCUS PMF Installation and Configuration Guide as a convenience, but the best doc on this is Adobe's.

thanks
