What I like most is that it frees us from ad-hoc customer requests.

Interesting post! Interesting blog.

Just like a parent can spend hours telling everyone about their wonderful children (I am a parent blessed with a wonderful son!) and a pet-lover can spend hours telling everyone about what their pets have been up to (I have four dogs and they keep me smiling!) ....
so to I am sure that there are some of us that could spend hours telling people why WebFOCUS is just the greatest!

In terms of your question on your blog:
