I need to display null values on my maintain form. Master file defines theses as missing on. When stack values are displayed on form, default values are displayed (and updated) rather than the null values. I've looked at the help files but not sure where to define missing on or the exact syntax.

Maintain should respect a null value and display a . (period) for null data in a field. You can change the character that is displayed by setting the NODATA value. Are these fields from the Master or computed in the application? If they are computed, make sure you have the MISSING attribute in the compute: COMPUTE Z/A1 MISSING ON = MISSING;
If they are coming from the database, please provide a sample of the Master, and let me know what is being displayed instead of the .

Ok I am seeing this behavior. If I have an integer field with MISSING=ON, that field is being displayed as a zero. Let me check with programming and I'll get back to you .

Programming has requested that a case be opened so we can fix this problem. I tried a number of ways to work around it, but the only one that kind of worked was changing the format to I4S. This doesn't display a Zero. However, if the value of the field IS zero and not missing, it will not show that either.
Thank you Mark
