I have been trying to figure out how to do something simply. I think I can do it, but a simpler method would be better. I have a report that needs to be scheduled to run once a month against month end tables that is produced after month end closing. Depending on when month end occurs (weekend, holidays, etc.), the month end tables may be produced on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th day of the month. It is a manual process. I only need the schedule to email the report(s) once each month as soon as the tables are available. I plan on setting the schedule to run daily at 8 AM for the first seven days of each month. I can use a pre-process fex that uses &&KILL_RPC to check to see if the data exists and kill the schedule until it does exist, but that will not prevent it from running the schedule the next day, because now the data exists and &&KILL_RPC will allow the schedule to run. I can create a post-process fex that will update a FOCUS table to state that the schedule ran and use that info in the pre-process fex to kill the subsequent schedules, but I was hoping for a better way. Seems like this could be a good feature to add to RC. I have looked at one other process that should work, but it seems way too complex for my needs. Any help would be appreciated. This message has been edited. Last edited by: gerndude,

I think what you might need is the Alert feature. You can trigger the schedule if the Alert returns a positive and skip if it's negative. Alerts return a 1 or 0 depending on either existence of a file on disk location or if a WebFOCUS report returns more than 1 record. https://webfocusinfocenter.inf...4C99A2294C62878AF7E0
