EditPlus is my choice of text editor and it is registered with my Windows XP desktop for Fexes, Metadata, CSS and JavaScript files.

In Developer Studio v7.6.5:

WebFOCUS Environments > environment-name > Data Servers > EDASERVE > Applications > app-name

When I right click on a fex, mas or acx and select "Edit In EditPlus", nothing happens
When I double-click on a fex, mas or acx nothing happens.
When I right click on a fex, mas or acx, and select "Edit In Text Editor", I can edit the file with the Dev Studio Text Editor.

When I right click on an html file, I get no edit options.
When I right click on a JavaScript file, and select "Edit In EditPlus", nothing happens.
When I double-click on a JavaScript file nothing happens.
When I right click on a JavaScript file, and select "Edit In Text Editor", I can edit the file with the Dev Studio Text Editor.
When I right click or double-click on a CSS file, I can successfully edit the file with EditPlus.

WebFOCUS Environments > environment-name > Web Applications > app-name

When I right click on a fex, mas or acx and select "Edit In EditPlus", nothing happens
When I double-click on a fex, mas or acx nothing happens.
When I right click on a fex, mas or acx, and select "Edit In Text Editor", I can edit the file with the Dev Studio Text Editor.

When I right click on an html file, I get "Edit in Microsoft Office 2003 component" (which I certainly would never want to do) and "Edit in Text Editor" (Dev Studio Text Editor).

It appears I can only use EditPlus as my external text editor for CSS files even though all the other files are registered to be opened with EditPlus in my OS. I can double-click fex, mas, ack, js and css files on my desktop and EditPlus opens.

I will try re-installing EditPlus but I don't think that's where the problem lies.

Francis

I have similar issues with 7.6.7.

EditPlus does open Fex+mas+acx, but the ones on Unix come across without crlf.
