We have a situation where we have our main distribution server running on a remote NT box. When I start a separate distribution server on my local machine, we get the following errors when a scheduled job is run:
Task error:THE FOCEXEC PROCEDURE CANNOT BE FOUND: trigchk FOCEXEC *
Error sending brief notification to xxxx@xxxxxxxx.comCould not connect to SMTP host: xxxx.COM, port: 25;
When I do not have the distribution server running on my local machine, the scheduled jobs run fine.
Im not sure why having the distribution server running on my local machine is affecting our main distribution server which is running on another machine. Any ideas?
Thanks, Ron

Ron, What version are you running. Also the Distribution Server can NOT be using the same Repository. That might be your issue. Please provide more details on how you are configured.
We are running version 5.2.3. It turns out that both distribution servers were using the same repository. I'm still not sure why one machine took precedence over the other.
