I have a few COMPUTE statements to determine accounting period to use, select certain account numbers, etc. but when I use recap to access that information (to position the results in a column) all I get are zeros or a '.'.

If I take out the COMPUTE statements that do the comparisons it works fine. Is there a certain sequence to all this?

To my understanding this sequence might work. If not can you give us little more details with CAR FILE.
